Danné Alkaline Hair Removal
This treatment removes unwanted hair painlessly and effectively, and is designed to reduce fine downy hair on the face that is unsuited to electrolysis or laser treatment.
The advantages of alkaline are that you can remove large areas of hair in a single treatment, and the solution also improves the skins texture and colour.
Suitable for all skin types and ethnicities, alkaline hair removal does not cause any harsh side effects or skin irritation, making it ideal for reactive skin types too.
The treatment is not like a hair removal cream, the alkaline solution has a much higher pH enabling it to fully enter the hair shaft, damaging and weakening the papilla (where the hair grows from) and as a result reducing re-growth.
As treatments progress over time the rate of hair re-growth will be noticeably reduced and in some areas may even be permanently removed.
Is alkaline bad for my skin?
No, the alkaline solution is not bad for the skin and will not cause any damage or pigmentation. Each treatment is always finished with products to restore optimal skin health.
Will my hair grow back thicker or darker?
No, it is not possible for this to happen as the alkaline solution weakens and eventually reduces hair growth.
How often will I need the treatment?
Initially you would need to have the treatment as often as you would wax, then as hair growth weakens your treatments can move further apart.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
You can re-apply make-up 8 hours after an alkaline treatment.
