Have you always wished your lips were plumper? Are your lips losing definition, thinning or drooping with age? Our lip enhancement treatment uses dermal fillers to define and volumise the lips.
Our experienced aesthetic practitioner will create a bespoke treatment to ensure natural-looking results suited to your face. We can help you to:
- Shape and define the lips
- Augment the size and volume of the lips
- Enhance outline and profile of your lips
- Lift up the corners of the mouth
- Smooth away wrinkles around the lip line
- Plump and firm up lips which have lost definition and volume
- Correct lip unevenness and asymmetry
The Treatment Process
The treatment is quick, lasting just a few minutes. An anaesthetic is applied to the relevant area before the gel is injected. For those new to this treatment, the process is uncomfortable rather than painful. Usually there is minimal downtime required, but if it is your first treatment, we recommend that you find a quiet time in your diary as swelling after treatment can sometimes last for 2-3 days.
What is a vial and how many do I need for my treatment?
A vial is simply a measurement of the dermal filler injectable liquid administered during treatment. Typically, nasolabial lines require 1-2 vials, marionette lines require 1 vial, lips require 1-2 vials and cheeks require 2 vials.
Do they hurt?
It may involve some slight pain or discomfort. Clients describe it as a tiny scratch as the needle goes in, with a slight stinging sensation as the filler is applied. We always apply a local anaesthetic to numb the area. Afterwards there may be some swelling or bruising. The swelling reduces within 48 hours; the bruising can take up to a fortnight.
What happens at my free consultation?
It’s important to us that you achieve the results you want, and we believe this starts with the consultation. You will never be rushed, and we will take the time to discuss aspects of your skin that you may be unhappy with, your desired results, costs and timings. Our aim is for you to leave your consultation feeling confident, fully informed and looking forward to your treatment.
Are fillers permanent?
Permanent fillers available on the market, however we are not comfortable with their safety therefore we don’t use them at Anew Aesthetics. The results from our facial fillers are temporary and can be reversed if necessary, with a special product called Hyalase.
